 | For sale is an exceptional high-grade ore specimen containing abundant visible electrum (gold and siilver alloy) and likely dark silver-gray naumannite (silver selenide) from the Golden Promise #2 Vein, Knob Hill Mine in Republic, Ferry County, Washington, USA. The electrum is visible all throughout the cut side of the specimen (first two photographs) surrounded by dark and light (quartz) banding. The concentration of electrum helps define the banded texture of this specimen. This fine specimen is from the Ralph Noyes Collection. Ralph Noyes was the Vice President of Metal Mining for Hecla Mining Company. One side has been saw cut and the other sides are rough. The specimen is about 2.4-cm thick; it is possible that it could be cut to produce two slabs with visible electrum. A specimen label is included.
