Emerald Creek, Latah County, Idaho, USA
Cut Stone is 5 ct. - 13.5 x 8 x 5 mm

idaho star garnet sale Click!

This specimen is SOLD, but I do have others! The locality has been closed to hand digging due to concerns about the water quality of Emerald Creek. Small inclusion of rutile aligned with the garnet's crystallographic axes create the asterism if the garnet is carefully cut and polished in the correct orientation. These gemstones are from an old collection of cut Idaho garnets. The color and clarity of garnets in this collection is some of the best I have seen. Most star garnets from Idaho are opaque, dark and included. Don't miss this opportunity, I have a limited supply. CONTACT me if your are interested in star garnets.
