![]() | A remote area called the Mud Tank Zircon Field located on Alcoota Station, Northern Territory, in outback Australia has been known for its zircon material since 1940. The magnificent gem zircons discovered here are orange to amber to pale brown, some are even pink, purplish, colourless, yellow and part-coloured. For sale is an incredible suite of 15 precision faceted zircons ranging in size from 0.8 ct to 7.1 ct and include all colors described below. A special 1.75 ct plum/purple stone with incredible saturation and considered the most sought after and rarest color from this locality is also part of the suite. Most of the stones contain light inclusions which are barely visible to the naked eye due to the overwhelming scintillation. The sizes are as follows: Row 1 (left, from top to bottom, in carats) - 0.8, 1, 1.15, 1.75 (plum/purple), 1.65 (yellow), 2.4 (light pink) Row 2 (middle, from top to bottom, in carats) - 2.1, 2.6, 1.35, 1.95 (colorless), 1.8 (hexagon) Row 3 (right, from top to bottom, in carats) - 5.2 (large square), 7.1 (large round), 4.05 (bellaxe design), 3.8 Total = 37.7 carats Zircon is known to vary widely in intensity of its reaction to UV radiation. This is also the case for the Harts Range material. The final photo shows 6 stones exhibiting yellow under short wave UV light. These stones were collected in the 1970's and faceted by Jaimy Henman of Gems Down Under in 2023. To see more of Jaimy's incredible faceted stones, please follow him on Instagram!

![]() | For sale is an outstanding pink terminated zektzerite crystal with stepped crystal faces from the Golden Horn Batholith located at Washington Pass, Washington. The terminations have a very glassy luster with zones of gem pink color. There is some internal fracturing and minor edge chipping, but the crystal is in excellent condition. The back side has a contact where it has been separated from the matrix. Associated with minor black arfvedsonite and secondary red-brown zircon crystals. Zektzerite fluoresces light blue under short-wave ultraviolet light. The specimen is professionally mounted in a pedestal-style perky box with a specimen label. ![]() | For sale is a cluster of gemmy pink zektzerites on alkali granite matrix. The matrix is riddled with zektzerite (see short-wave fluorescent photo). There are are at least a half dozen suhedral to euhedral zektzerite crystals up to 1/4 inch. This is a rare matrix zektzerite specimen with brilliant gem pink colored crystals. There is some damage to a few of the crystals, hence the reduced price. Associated minerals include microcline, arfvedsonite, zircon and others. The specimen is professionally mounted on a pedestal-style acrylic base. A specimen label is included. Visit my Washington Pass page at Washington Minerals for more information about this mineral occurence.

![]() | For sale is a gemmy pink zektzerite crystal on microcline matrix from the alkali granite of the Golden horn Batholith at Washington Pass, Washington. The crystal exhibits excellent color and clarity for the species and is on matrix. A small translucent unknown red crystal can be seen at the base of the zektzerite (possibly zircon). The crystal is in very good conditon for the species. As shown in the final photograph, zektzerite fluoresces light blue under short-wave ultraviolet light. The specimen is professionally mounted in a perky box. Visit my Washington Pass page at Washington Minerals for more information about this mineral occurence.
