GEOLOGY
Metaline Formation - Cambro-Ordivician (~500 Ma [millions of years ago]). The Metaline Formation is predominately a carbonate unit approximately 1800 meters thick extending from Washington state to British Columbia, Canada. The geology of the Pend Oreille Mine consists of a carbonate (dolomite) hosted Pb-Zn (lead-zinc) deposit.
