 PALLADIUM and PLATINUM ore |

| For sale is an extraordinary precious metal ore sprecimen of sulfidic pyroxenite from the Johns-Manville Reef (J-M Reef) of the Stillwater Complex in Montana. The sulfides (primarily chalcopyrite, pentlandite and pyrrhotite) host platinum group metals (PGMs), including palladium and platinum. The pentlandite contains a high concentration of palladium (substituting for nickel in the crystal structure). This is the largest specimen of ore I have seen come out of the Stillwater Mine that wasn't sent to the mill, providing a once in a lifetime opportunity to own an outstanding sample of ore from this historic mine. A specimen label is included.
PALLADIUM and PLATINUM ore J-M Reef Deposit, Stillwater Complex, Stillwater Mine, Stillwater County, Montana, USA Specimen is 18.0 x 12.5 x 5.5 cm (7.1 x 4.9 x 2.2 in)
