The specimen exhibits crystalline ankerite that crystallized as a late phase over brecciated pyrite crystals. The pyrite on the display side of the specimen is beautifully striated. The specimen is undamaged with terminations sharp and complete with some contact along the base of the cluster. Combination specimens of this quality from Spruce Ridge containing ankerite are rarely seen on the market. The specimen is mounted on a polished acrylic base with removable mineral tack.
