Slightly amethystine QUARTZ exhibiting Muzo habit
Cedar Ponds, near Sultan, Snohomish County, Washington, USA
Crystal is approximately 1-inch tall

Note: Muzo habit is a rare quartz habit with crystals exhibiting only three prism faces near the termination. In the above specimen,
where the three alternating prism faces pinch out (one of which resembles a phantom), rhombohedral faces begin to alternate,
giving the edges of the three prism faces a jagged, sawtooth appearance.
